The headline says, “Boldly live in our modern-day Babylon without falling prey to its allure”. Thus begins an overview of our next Wednesday night Bible study. The upcoming study—on Daniel—begins March 14th, 7:15 p.m., in Room 2 of the Runnels Building. Utilizing Beth Moore’s recently released study during the twelve-week session period, participants will view DVDs, engage in group discussion, and individually cover Bible study material on the 12 chapters of Daniel. As Beth Moore states, “Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressure to compromise his faith in a hostile culture and was constantly confronted by temptations and threats, today’s believers face similar trials”. The study falls in two parts. Part One deals with Daniel’s life as he faced the kind of pressures and temptations Christians encounter today, while the second portion covers Daniel 7-12. It explores “thrilling” prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ. |
