Meet Patience Knight

Patience in action

Here is a fun picture of our own Patience Knight in action for Texas Tech. We are all very proud of her spirit and her accomplishments. Patience has qualified for the Olympic trials (We were told this by another parent; coaches think it's true; we will let you know.) and is an NCAA All American Athlete. PATIENCE IS ALSO A BRONZE MEDALIST!!! CHECK OUT THE TEXAS TECH ATHLETICS WEBSITE. By the way, the picture above is three years old! Patience is wearing her hair short and sassy now:)

Artist with Jesus Knocking

Robert Gebing was born in Vallejo, CA in 1942. He has always had a natural talent & love for the visual arts since he was old enough to hold a brush. Walt Disney wanted him to work for him when he saw his art, but Bob was only 9 years old. He graduated San Mateo High School, CA 1960. Then Bob enlisted in the USAF as an Illustrator Specialist. In the Air Force 9 years, he was assigned to a variety of art positions, interior designer, animator, map illustrator & motion picture special effects artist. Bob spent a year in Vietnam in 1968-69.

In 1969-70, Bob received his AA degree from Foothill Junior College located in Los Altos, CA… then CA State U. Hayward, CA & received his BFA Degree in 1972. He joined the U. S. Federal Government (civil service) as an Artist in the Army Dept. in Wash. D.C. For 22 years, Bob worked for the Army, Navy, Air Force & NASA Space Agency gaining a wealth of experiences in the visual arts, doing portraits of Presidents, Congressmen, Senators, Military Generals, Navy Battleships & Submarines, Air Force Planes, 3 pictures of The White House, exhibit designer, murals, art projects for military shows & much more. Bob’s final assignment landed him at Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX where he retired in May of 1994.

Bob & wife, Donna have lived in San Antonio, since 1985. He has done Christian Art, custom pet paintings, portraits, western art, wild life, elephants & flowers.

Jesus Eyes

They joined Western Hills Christian Disciples of Christ Church & were baptized ~ July 2000. Bob got a vision of "Jesus Eyes" in his dreams soon after joining the Church. Now he dedicates his life & creative efforts in creating art inspired by God, his dreams & visions for the glory of God. Bob painted 5 different versions of “Jesus Eyes” original paintings of “The Greatest Gift." People became aware of Bob’s Christian Art Work & Mission since Mel Gibson’s ~“The Passion of Christ” opened Feb. 25, 2004. Bob has been on TV Channel 4, 5, 15 & CNN Nationwide with his art work & “Jesus Eyes” Painting. The Catholic Newspaper did a 2 page “Jesus Eyes” article. July 04 ~Christian Beacon did a front page “Jesus Eyes” article. Then, in March, the Catholic TV Channel 15 ran a video of Bob’s talk & art work. We truly appreciate the great TV exposure & their credibility.
