Children's Church

Most Sundays following the Choir's Anthem, children ages 5-9 leave for Children's Church.  This is a service developed specifically to help younger children to understand the meaning of the formal church service.  It begins with the lighting of the candle, prayer, and singing.  This is followed by a lesson, crafts, and a snack.  Younger children are encouraged to participate.

One unique feature of Western Hills' Children's Church is the involvement of older youth who assist the teacher each Sunday . . . the first step to becoming ready to take a leadership role in the future.  These youth are wonderfully enthusiastic and take great pride in helping.  What a wonderful future lays in store for our youth . . . God's world is in good hands!
