Pastor Wright began serving as Senior Minister of Western Hills Christian Church in July 2006.  He is the first “Timothy” of the church to serve as minister of the congregation.  Before entering the full time ministry, he had a 20-year career in the retail industry in Louisiana and Texas, most recently as a store manager for La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in San Antonio.  Upon answering his call to the ministry, Pastor Rusty resigned his position with La-Z-Boy and enrolled as a full time student at the University of Texas-San Antonio where he received a B.A. in Political Science in 2002.  He then enrolled at Brite Divinity School, on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, and received his Master of Divinity degree in December 2005.  While a student at Brite, Pastor Rusty served as youth/associate minister at Azle Christian Church for three years where he led youth activities and bible studies.  He also helped organize and accompanied the youth on their first mission trip.  Pastor Rusty has been married to his wife, Amy, since 1999 and they have two daughters, Madeline Grace, born in 2004 and Julia Kay, born in 2007.  You can contact our pastor at rusty@whcchurch.org.
