The 2nd Annual All-Church Picnic was on Sunday, April 27, 2008.   

A giant thank you to everyone who attended, contributed food, participated in set up and clean up, but most of all supported WHCC at our 2nd Annual All-Church picnic.  The burgers and hot dogs were BBQed to perfection by Frank Gloria, Brian Bartlett, and David Brown.  Canopies and a castle waterslide were set up by David Brown, David Morgan, Tommy Lime, Brian Bartlett, and members of the Fellowship Ministry.  The Dunk Tank (furnished by Jim and Barbara Collier) was manned by David Morgan.

Congratulations to all participants in the Bake-Off.  The winners were Tawnya Henderson/Jennifer Adamson’s Red Velvet Surprise Cake and Betty Wright’s Apple/Brown Sugar Pie.  Thanks to the judges:  Larry Riley, Bill Thornton, and Matthew Knight, who unselfishly sacrificed themselves for the cause.

Best sportsmanship awards are being shared by Bryan Edwards and Rusty Wright.  Bryan was the "fly on the wall" for the Bell Choir Booth.  He was taped to the wall of the fellowship hall where he hung suspended for 8 minutes.  Rusty braved the cold weather and cold water for a long stint in the dunk tank.  Rusty also got several pies in the face, thrown by the Junior Bell Choir, along with his wife Amy and his daughter Madeline!
